Doors and Windows:
This tent includes one door which is big with an inverted T shape zipper. The door has mesh also like an inverted T shape. The awning also protects the door.
As for the windows, let’s say this tent is divided into two parts. The front part is tall and free-standing, which has two big windows with outdoor panels and mesh. You can open the panels and have mesh only to increase ventilation, but you can also utilize the close panels in case of rain or cold weather.
The back extended part has three windows. Two on the sides which have inside panels with zippers, and you can open and close them from the inside as more or less you want. They also have mesh. One window is at the back, which is the same as the front part windows, big, outside panels, and with mesh.
The awning is attached to the door. It is not removable. You can extend it or fold it back. It is long and can provide a good shade to sit in. It also protects the door. You are also provided with two telescopic poles for the awning. The awning of this site will not be suitable in heavy rains and wind so better to roll it up in such conditions as the door already has its protected panels.
This tent also comes with a fly that is not attached. The fly is a single layer and does not cover the whole tent. It is on the free-standing part. The material of the fly is the same as that of the tent.
Suitable For Whom?
This tent offers space for seven people. The total area is 126 ft2, which gives each one of you a space of 18 ft2, so you can easily put up sleeping beds for seven people, but this tent is more likely to be a family tent instead of a group of friends. It will accommodate your family of 4 or 5 more nicely and easily.
This tent is heavy, with a weight of 57 pounds. It comes with a carrying bag, but you can still not take it to longer distances. Keeping weight and its packed size in mind, you can only go to a car-accessible camping site.
So here comes the best part of this tent. This is a suitable tent for
- Hot weather – as it has a lot of windows which you can open up and gives you good ventilation.
- Rainy weather – although the fly is partial, the material gives a good waterproof rating. The windows are also with the panel so you can keep them close and get rain protection. The awning should be close during heavy winds as it is long and cannot withstand.
- Cold weather – the best thing is you can use it in cold weather too. While keeping all the windows panel close, it will keep the inside warm, and you will be able to utilize it.
All the windows and the ceiling are filled with mesh providing you great ventilation. The doors also have mesh so you can open their panels and enjoy the fresh air too. In addition to that, both the rooms have two large floor vents that are secured by zippers and have meshwork.
The material is quite strong. The tent is made up of aluminum poles, and they are very thick. Indeed it is a strong, reliable tent.
The fabric for this tent is made up of 210 D poly oxford with 2000 mm PU coating. The material is strong and gives a good waterproofing rate. The fly and the awning are also made up of the same material.
How to Set Up?
It is an instantly setting up the tent but not as instant as the others. As this tent is divided into two parts, its setting up is also divided for both parts. The front main part is free standing and will set up instantly. The poles come with an auto-lock and release system, which stands the front part quite easily, and the guy ropes are pre-attached.
For the extended part, you need to attach the poles to make the tent stand. You fit the roof pole then attach the leg poles. You also need to stake the tent down to make it function properly.
